The basement construction continues apace with the concrete frame works being constructed by Oliver Connell & Sons Ltd. Recent drone footage from Oliver Connell shows the progress at each end of the basement raft slab and the start of the basement retaining walls. The sub-structure concrete utilises a 50% GGBS cement replacement to reduce the embodied carbon and energy to produce the concrete. A basic finish is specified to the basement concrete as this will be hidden by finishes or contained in the plantroom space. For drone footage of the site progress, click on the link below.
